Experience scripture
Lectio Divina was first practiced in the 6th century by the Benedictine monks as part of their monastic tradition. Unlike studying scripture on an intellectual or practical level, lectio divina treats scripture as the living word and seeks to promote a communion with God. The practice consists of reading a scripture passage multiple times with space for prayer and meditation. The recommended group size for this practice is 4-9 people.
