Robin holds a certificate in spiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition from Fairfield University.   She has been leading groups in various prayer practices since 1993, has been a spiritual director since 2019.

Robin has been in spiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition since the late 1970s.  In 2015, while she was undertaking the 19th Day Annotation Ignatian spiritual exercise she discerned the call to become a spiritual director.  Robin is a Christian, a practicing Catholic and has been part of other denominations through her spiritual journey including Reformed Presbyterian and Dutch Christian Reformed.  She welcomes individuals from all faith backgrounds in their search and journey for a deeper connection to God.

She is a member of Spiritual Directors International, a professional organization for spiritual directors.
